Krotz Springs A Mass of Christian Burial for Rosaire Foucher, age 72, will be held on Friday, December 31, 2010, at 12:00 p.m. in the St. Anthony Catholic Church of Krotz Springs, La., followed by interment in the Benediction Monastery Cemetery in Plaisance, La.

Rosaire, a native of North Adams, Massachusetts, and was a resident of Krotz Springs, La. for a number of years, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Opelousas General Health System. He was a retired clerical worker. He was a believer in the rosary and said them for everybody. He was also, a benediction oblate. He was a member and very active in the Cursillo movement in Prairie Ronde, La. He acted as a sacristan at St. Anthonys Catholic Church where he attended mass daily, taught catechism and played the organ. He had a great devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rosario Noel Foucher and Regina Courtemanche both natives of Canada and his sisters, Ann Marie Foucher and Rita Foucher.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs on Friday, December 31, 2010 from 8:30 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.

    Mr. Rosier was a very special person. I will always remember his warm and caring personality, as well as his smile. He was a genuine soul, which you rarely find anymore. Im sure that he is looking down on us whispering Always say the rosary His devotion to the Immaculate and Sacred Hearts were truly inspiring. I only pray that I may one day imitate his love and faith. He will be missed by so many of us here at St Anthonys BLessings, Jason Brandi Schexnayder and Children....
