Funeral services for Victoria Mary Pepitone will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 21, 2017, in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, LA. Reverend James Brady will conduct the service with burial to be held at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.
Ms. Pepitone, a resident of Broussard, LA, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
Victoria enjoyed watching New Orleans Saints football and spending time with her grandchildren. Her interests included shopping, playing bingo, going to local casinos and watching movies.
Victoria won the beauty contest of the National Federation of Young Men’s Club in 1957 and was the first woman to achieve the International Code of Council Permit Technician exam in the state of Mississippi. Victoria’s greatest accomplishment was the publication of her own cook book. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her sons, Jamie Myers, Joey Myers, Robbie Myers, Thomas Myers and her brothers, Ronald Pepitone, Salvador Pepitone, Jr. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Peyton Myers, Thomas Myers, Jr., Billy Myers and Heather Little.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Salvador Pepitone, Sr. and Anna Belle Guidroz Pepitone; her sister, Ramona Mary Pepitone Smithey and her grandson, Tyler Jacob Myers.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Myers, Joey Myers, Robbie Myers, Thomas Myers, Jr. and Billy Myers.
Visitation will be held in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will reopen on Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
