My dearest friend, Velma, may you rest in peace in God's loving hands.
I'm going to miss you but I know you are in a much better place. Ellis and Donald, you know I'm always here for you and your families if you need anything; even if its just to talk. I'll never forget and be thankful for all the good times we had together. I love you all and pray that you will be comforted knowing how much Velma loved you.

"True Friendship" is a love that never dies,
But like a song it lives forever
Like a river flows through time
Like a star that ever brightens up the skies"
(And Ms Velma was certainly that bright star!)

I was so glad that I got to see you last month. You were the perfect aunt. I'll never forget cartoons at your house on Saturday mornings, with chocolate milk, biscuits, and cinnamon rolls hot and fresh out of the oven. Sunday dinners, which my own kids got to experience at your house. Your rice dressing, your gumbo. Saturdays and Sundays at Parrain and Tante's house are memories I'll cherish forever.
Love you Tante! Miss you so much already.

I hope that you find comfort in God’s promise to do away with sickness and death and the distress that results—permanently! We know this will happen because God gave Jesus the authority to heal the sick and power to raise the dead. The healings and resurrections performed by Jesus demonstrate this. (Luke 5:12, 13; John 11:39-44). Jesus’ kingdom government will bring to mankind this and so much more, yes “more than all we ask or imagine.” (Ephesians 3:20). Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss.
