‘Fantastic ‘Freida as I always called her was that and more. The Doris Day of Opelosas, full of love, smiles warmth, and an all around treasure. Even though I moved away from Opelousas in 1985, on most calls to my Dad and visits to Opelosas I would always inquire about ‘fantastic ‘ Freida’. Her warmth was intoxicating and unforgettable and I can still hear that distinct voice saying ‘helloTommy Dugal’ followed by a big hug. Memories I keep with me until today. I am thankful to have had such a special angel look over me as often as she did in my youth. Love to all the family

I am so very sorry for your loss. I met Mrs. Freida at the holy chapel located at Our Lady Queen of Angels in Opelousas. I use to relieve her from her holy hour on Sunday nights at the chapel few years ago. We would talk a great deal and she always had kind words to say and wise advice. She will be truly missed. Prayers go out to all her family.

I was so very sorry to learn of Freida’s death. She was a part of so many wonderful childhood memories, gathered with friends on the floor of Uncle Fred and Aunt Eloise’s house for some special occasion and waiting for a much-anticipated appearance of the blithe spirit “Lily White”! I believe the last time we spoke was at the memorial service for my mom. To my grade school classmate Pud, to Robert Luke, to Genie, and to all my cousins, I extend my deepest sympathy and prayers for consolation, acceptance, and peace.
