Funeral services for Albert Olivier will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel of Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas. Deacon Dwayne Joubert will officiate the services. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the Holy Sepulcher Mausoleum in Opelousas.

Albert, age 74, passed away at his residence on Monday, July 16, 2018.

Albert was the owner and operator of Al's Auto Sales in Opelousas for 42 years. He enjoyed talking to people and selling cars. He loved cooking for all his family and friends. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing. Al adored his grandchildren and enjoyed teasing them. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Judie Gautreaux Olivier; his son, Albert Duane Olivier and wife, Tonya; his daughter, Frankie Lynn Olivier; his brothers, Gilbert Olivier and wife, Gloria; Floyd Olivier and wife, Gerri; Joe Olivier and wife, Debbie; his sister, Martha Richard and his sisters-in-law, Glenda Darbonne and husband, Leroy and Wanda Gautreaux and husband, Wayne. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, Alex Smith, Anthony Smith, Adam Smith, Andrew Olivier, Allie Olivier, Caleb Olivier, Jordan Olivier, Ashlee Olivier, Jacob Joubert and Koby Joubert and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Virgie Venable Olivier; his son, Casey Jude Olivier; his brother and sister-in-law, Oren and Judy Olivier; his grandson, Jacob Olivier; his mother-in-law, Nola Guidroz and his father-in-law, Sam Gautreaux.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will re-open on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Deacon Dwayne Joubert will pray a rosary on Tuesday evening at 6:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Alex Smith, Anthony Smith, Adam Smith, Andrew Olivier, Jordan Olivier and Koby Joubert. Honorary pallbearers will be Duane Olivier, Eric Gautreaux, Wayne Gautreaux, John Olivier and Leroy Darbonne.
