Krotz Springs – Funeral services for James Joseph Wallace, Jr., age 51, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 5, 2010, in the First Pentecostal Church of Krotz Springs followed by interment in the Baptist Cemetery in Krotz Springs. Reverend Ronnie Smith will conduct the services.

Mr. Wallace, a resident of Krotz Springs, passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at his residence.

James was an Evangelist and a member of the Jesus Ministry Tabernacle. He also did missionary work in Nigeria, Jamaica and Mexico spreading the word of the Lord. He also preached the Gospel with song, prayer and praise. James was very musically talented and most of all loved his family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Brigette Muse Wallace of Krotz Springs, La.; his son, Wesley Uriah Wallace of Converse, Texas; his daughters, Rebekah Wallace Bell of Hammond, La.; Katie Fisk and Emily Wallace both of Mississippi. He is also survived by his brothers, Ronald Lee Wallace of Krotz Springs, La.; Samuel Hugh Wallace and wife, Rhonda, of Maryville, Tennessee; his sisters, Bethany Wallace Carr and husband, David; Kathryn Wallace; and Nancy Wallace Ellis and husband, James Glenn, all of Krotz Springs, La. He is also survived by one grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James, Sr. and Rosa Lee Wallace and his grandparents, Samuel Hugh and Dolly T. Wallace and Ivory and Nancy Disotell Kemp.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs on Thursday, March 4, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, March 5, 2010, until time of service.
