Lawtell- A Memorial Mass for Jennifer "Jenny" Marie Fontenot will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 1, 2018, at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Lawtell. Fr. Ted Broussard will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the St. Bridget Cemetery.
Jennifer "Jenny" Fontenot, age 55, of Eunice passed away on October 29, 2018, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. She was born to George Fontenot and Mary Jane Francois Fontenot on November 16, 1962. She worked as an office clerk for Brown's Furniture and for Duane's Crawfish for many years. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid reader and did cross stitching projects. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Helena Amber Miller of Opelousas; her father, George Lee Fontenot of Opelousas; sister, Diana (Darrel) Vidrine of Tyler, TX; brothers, Gerald (Mary) Fontenot of Lawtell; and Michael Fontenot of Opelousas; sisters-in-law, Jamie Fontenot of Opelousas; Anna Fontenot of Lawtell; and Rhonda Fontenot of Lawtell; grandchildren, Gabriella Miller, Gavin Miller, Julian Miller, Jazmin Miller, and Bryson Miller; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Jenny was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Jane Fontenot; paternal grandparents, Alphonse and Helena Fontenot; maternal grandparents, Amos and Easter Francois; and her brothers, John Fontenot, Kenneth Fontenot, Steven Fontenot, Jimmie Fontenot, and Randy Fontenot.
The family request that visitors and family meet at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Lawtell at 12:45 p.m. on Thursday, November 1, 2018.
