Funeral services for Jared Paul Fontenot will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, in the Skip Montet Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas. Burial will take place in Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Jared, age 42, a resident of Opelousas, LA, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019.

Jared was a fun-loving person. He loved cooking for his family and friends, playing video games, running, working out, dressing up and shopping. Jared will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his fiancé, Emily Miller; his mother and step-father, Carl and Susan Fontenot; his brother, Justin Fontenot; his sister, Alisha Fontenot and husband, Bobby; his godchild, Isabella Old and his four-legged friend, Junior.

He was preceded in death by his father, Cody Fontenot; his maternal grandparents, Harold and Jane Lambert and his paternal grandparents, Ulysse and Lily Fontenot.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas and will reopen on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 8:00 AM until time of services.

Pallbearers will be Jason Huguet, Jody Glasscock, Bobby Fontenot, Seth Hebert, Shane Dupre and Dion Lanclos. Honorary pallbearer will be Justin Fontenot.
