Opelousas - Funeral services for Adam "Rocky" Smith will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 12, 2018, in the Skip Montet Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas. Service speaker will be Leon Vice and guest speaker will be Greg Folse. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Smith, age 63, passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at his residence.

Rocky was a horse enthusiast his entire life. He enjoyed bull riding, roping, took part in cutting horse events and most of all, ranching his horses and cows. He also loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, family and friends. Rocky will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 13 1/2 years, Jo Ann Quebedeaux Smith of Lawtell, LA; his father, Arnold Francis "T-Joe" Smith of Breaux Bridge, LA; his sons, David Smith and wife, Heather, of Batson, TX; Shawn Reeves and wife, Marcy, of Lawtell, LA; Leonard "Pap" Reeves and Beverly of Church Point, LA; Mitchell Reeves and wife, Nicole, of Church Point, LA; his brothers, Terry Smith and wife, Debbie, of Fannett, TX; James "Black" Smith and wife, Roxie, of Vinton, LA and his sisters, Cynthia Langley of Mire, LA and Regina Wyatt and husband, Kenneth, of Arnaudville, LA. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Bertrand Smith.

Visitation will be held in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, May 11, 2018, from 4:00 PM (all night) until time of services on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at 10:00 AM.

Pallbearers will be David Smith, Mitchell Reeves, Leonard "Pap" Reeves, Shawn Reeves, James "Black" Smith and Terry Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Rudy Austin and Mickey McKinney.
