Opelousas - Funeral services for Aline Marie Vidrine Hidalgo will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, in the Skip Montet Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home. Reverend Monsignor Keith J. DeRouen will officiate the service. Burial will be held at Bellevue Memorial Park.

Mrs. Hidalgo, age 82, a resident of Opelousas, LA, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Nursing Home.

Aline loved exercising and spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren. She loved going dancing, attending festivals, traveling and going on vacations. Aline will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, Ken "Mouse" Hidalgo; her daughter, Debbie Olivier (Joe) and special friend, Monty Roy; her sisters, Betty Ardoin (Milburn); Dolores Guillot and Anna Meche. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Lacie Olivier and Skylar Olivier (Kali Perez Olivier) and two great-grandchildren, Scarlett Sylvester and Asher Farhand.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ferdie Vidrine and Aline Fontenot; her brothers, Carol Vidrine and Hulin Vidrine and her sisters, Lourella Vidrine and Myrtle Lavergne.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM. A rosary will be prayed on Tuesday evening at 6:00 PM by Deacon Sammy Diesi. The funeral home will reopen on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at 8:00 AM until time of service at 10:00 AM.
