Anna Doucet

Opelousas - Funeral services for Anna Louise Doucet will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 11, 2019, in the Skip Montet Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home. Father Todd Lloyd will officiate the service. Burial will be held at Bellevue Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 11, 2019, from 9:00 AM until time of service. Pallbearers will be Darryn Doucet, Bryan Doucet, Clem Courville, Jason Harkness, Grant Harkness and Trevor Kean.

Ms. Doucet, age 65, a resident of Opelousas, LA, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2019, (also the 39th anniversary of her father's death) at the Acadia St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point, LA.

Anna was a major LSU Football and New Orleans Saints fan. She enjoyed sewing, reading and spending time with her family and friends. Anna was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Angles Catholic Church in Opelousas and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her passion was taking care of children, which she did for 37 years.

She is survived by her brother, Jody Doucet; her sisters, Gwen Doucet Harkness and Patricia Doucet Nepveux and husband, Tony; and her loving friend, Jeanette Romero.

She was preceded in death by her parents, T.J. Doucet and Eve Hebert Doucet; brother, Kenneth Doucet; and her brother-in-law, Carlos Harkness.
