Anna Mae (Makie) Van Winkle

Krotz Springs - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Anna Mae Wiltz Van Winkle at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2022, in the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.  Father Michael DeBlanc will celebrate the Mass.  Rite of Committal and internment will follow in the St. Anthony Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Krotz Springs with a Rosary being prayed at 11:00 a.m.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mrs. Anna Mae (Makie) Wiltz Van Winkle, age 72, on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Anna loved sewing, reading, and traveling with her family by motorcycle or camper.  She also loved cooking for family events and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Anna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Gary Van Winkle, of Krotz Springs, La.; her daughters, Sheri Keeling (Darren) of Houston, TX, Kathy Van Winkle of Walker, La. and Kris Bajon (Ken Simpton) of Denham Springs, La.; her brothers, Allen Wiltz of Raceland, La., Alfred Wiltz (Nancy) of Krotz Springs, La., Ed Wiltz (Diana) of Krotz Springs, La., Bill Wiltz (Karen) of Krotz Springs, Arnold Wiltz (Bernadine) of Krotz Springs, La. and her sister, Joyce Wiltz Soileau of Krotz Springs, La.  She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Taylor Dean (Kaylyn), Haley Dean, Justin Dean, Kayla Keeling, Ashley Keeling, Emily Keeling, Elizabeth Keeling, Carley Bajon and Adrianne Bajon; two great-grandchildren, Carson Graham and Vance Dean.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Wiltz, Sr., and Lovina Guidry Wiltz; her in-laws, Dorothy Van Winkle and Duane Van Winkle; her granddaughter, Kasey Dean; her brother-in-law, Jimmy Soileau; her niece, Beth Soileau Morton and sister-in-law, Bobbie Wiltz.

Pallbearers will be Taylor Dean, Ed Wiltz, Bill Wiltz, Arnold Wiltz, Darren Keeling, Ben Morton, Jim Soileau, II and Ken Simpton.  Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Dean, Lt. Alex Wiltz, Allen Wiltz, Sr. and Alfred Wiltz, Sr.
