From his earliest days, Arvie embraced the values of dedication, loyalty, and service. He answered the call to serve his country with honor as a proud Army Veteran. His bravery was recognized with two Purple Heart medals, a testament to sacrifices rendered in the cause of freedom. Further decorated with two Bronze Service Stars, the Combat Infantryman Badge, and the Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross, Arvie’s valor in times of greatest hardship stood as an inspiration to all who served alongside him and those who admired him from afar. His time in the military was more than a chapter of uniform and medals—it was a defining testament to his character: resilient, devoted, and unyieldingly courageous.
Beyond his service, Arvie sought solace, excitement, and meaning in the simple joys of everyday life. Nature called to him in deep and enduring ways. Hunting and fishing were passions that allowed him to make memories in quiet woods and tranquil waters. Whether the sun was high or the leaves were falling, there was solace and belonging in the stillness, and Arvie found peace in those moments.
Back at home, he was the heartbeat of many gatherings. Arvie enjoying being by the grill or stove, tending to a bar-b-que or the bubbling pot of a gumbo, his laughter interwoven with the savory air. He had a talent for drawing people together, for seasoning food and life alike with warmth and humor. Energetic and devoted to his well-being, Arvie embraced exercise, recognizing the importance of it. Evenings brought football games and Fox News to his living room.
Arvie’s story is a tapestry of service, camaraderie, and quiet heroism. For those who knew him, his presence was both an anchor and a light. His stories will echo and inspire: of bravery under fire, of joyous laughter drifting over fishing lines and football games, of a gumbo pot simmering at his side.
Arvie is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sandra LeBlanc; his grandchildren, Alyssa LeBlanc, Jayden LeBlanc and Benjamin LeBlanc; his brother, George LeBlanc and his wife, Lynn; his sister, Jeanette LeBlanc Dejean; and a host of beloved nephews, nieces and other dear family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his son, Cody LeBlanc.
In the passing of Arvie Gerald LeBlanc, the world loses a steadfast soul, a brave veteran, and a beloved friend. His memory will remain, strong and enduring as the bonds he forged and the lives he touched. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love he so heartily gave.
