Born on January 11, 1928, in Washington, Louisiana, Audrey dedicated many years of her life to her craft, bringing beauty and joy to countless clients with her artistic talents and compassionate approach.
Graveside Funeral Services for Audrey R. Schwartzenburg will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Deacon Bill Pollingue will officiate the service. Rite of Committal and interment will be held at the Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas.
Audrey Ryder Schwartzenburg leaves behind a legacy of kindness, creativity, and unwavering commitment to family and faith. She will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Audrey cherished the time spent with her family, cooking delicious meals that brought everyone together and creating an atmosphere of love and warmth in her home. Her passion for puzzles provided both a challenge and joy, as she often entertained her family with her intricate creations. Each holiday season, Audrey transformed her home into a festive haven, delighting her loved ones with her artistic decorations and joyful spirit.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and sister, exhibiting a nurturing spirit that touched the lives of many. As a devoted Catholic, she attended Mass regularly and made it a daily ritual to pray the Rosary, reflecting her deep spiritual commitment. Her faith guided her actions and the love she shared with those around her.
In addition to family cherished gatherings, Audrey found peace and satisfaction in nature. She enjoyed spending time outside tending to her plants and nurturing her garden.
Audrey Ryder Schwartzenburg will be remembered not only for her contributions as a beautician and her dedication to her faith but also for the love she shared within her family and community. Her legacy of kindness, devotion, and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Aneta Hebert Gremillion of Youngsville; six grandchildren: Colby Duplin, Logan Gremillion (Chassidy), Seth Gremillion, Jesse Hebert, Christy Hebert Austin (Jason), and Whitney Ethridge (Michael); eight great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Lehman Hebert; her second husband, Glyn Schwartzenburg; two sons, Dwight Hebert and Kevin Hebert; her parents, Hypolite Ryder and Ella Mae Sonnier Ryder; and four brothers: Clifford Ryder, Claiborne Ryder, Gordon Ryder, and Raymond Ryder.
