Bera Ardoin

Krotz Springs - Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 16, 2018 for Bera I. Ardoin at The First Baptist Church of Krotz Springs. Brother Chad Bolfa and Brother Rocky Warden will officiate the services. Burial will follow in The First Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bera I. Ardoin, age 89 and a resident of Krotz Springs, passed away at her residence on Saturday, July 14, 2018, two days prior to her 90th birthday.

Bera worked at Paul's Dive Inn on Hwy. 190 across from Diesi's little capital restaurant for many years. After that, she worked at Morrow's Exxon for about 30 years. She was a very friendly woman with a big heart. Bera was a fine Christian woman and a prayer warrior for many people who were just passing through that spoke of their problems and also for her friends. She loved to talk and visit and she never met a stranger.

Bera was a member of the Krotz Springs Senior Citizens and Women's Mission Union. She loved playing dominoes and spending time with her friends. Bera enjoyed having biscuits and coffee and going on mission trips with her church and her senior group. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her dear friend, Mr. Alton "Red" Ortis; daughter, Janice McRae and husband, William McRae of Kosse, TX; sister, Vyrona McDaniel Lejeune; grandchildren, Brandie Lapoint, Trisha McRae, Johnnie Soileau, Jared McRae and Sarah McRae; great-grandchildren, John T. Guillot, Brock Ardoin, Brennan Soileau, Blaiklyn Ardoin, Holdan McRae, Landen Landry, Brodie Soileau, Ronan Jones and Lexx Landry; and great-great-grandchildren, Aubrie Tastet and Rylan Guillot.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Katherine McDaniel; son, John "Wayne" Ardoin; and granddaughter, Sherry McRae Jones.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs. It will continue on Monday, July 16, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. - until the time of service.
