Bettina Melancon Myers, known to many as “Tina” passed away on October 18, 2026, at University Medical Center in Lafayette, Louisiana, at the age of 61years old.
Tina will be remembered as a loving and caring person with a huge heart. She built a long career as a Title Processor for an insurance company, where she worked for more than 20 years. Her dedication and steady presence were part of the way she cared for others throughout her life.
At home, Tina found joy in the simple and meaningful things that brought people together. She loved cooking meals for her family, and she was especially known for making meatball stew. Christmas was made sweeter by her candy treats, prepared with care and shared with those she loved. She also enjoyed doing her yardwork, vegetable gardening, and tending to her plants and flowers, creating beauty and comfort around her. In quieter moments, she spent time doing arts and crafts and making wreaths, expressing her creativity in ways that reflected her warmth.
More than anything, Tina loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. The moments shared with them were among her greatest joys, and her love for her family was at the center of her life. She will be remembered for the care she gave, the meals she prepared, the traditions she helped create, and the kindness she extended so freely.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Bettina Melancon Myers will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Krotz Springs. Father Henry Antony will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal and burial will follow in the St. Anthony Church Cemetery in Krotz Springs.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Krotz Springs, LA. A Eulogy Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. by Bro. Barry Venable, Brock Myers, and Emily Myers in the funeral home.
