Betty Miller

Opelousas-Services for Mrs. George Miller, the former Betty Doucet, age 72, will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel followed by interment in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery in Prairie Ronde, La. Father Paul Bienvenu will officiate the services.
Mrs. Miller, who was a resident of Opelousas, died at Opelousas General Health System on Sunday, October 18, 2009 at 11:07 p.m.

She is survived by her husband, George Miller of Opelousas, La.; her son, Rick Miller and wife, Rhonda, of Ville Platte, La.; her sisters, Joyce Castille of Opelousas, La.; Ora D. Miller and husband, Francis, of Prairie Ronde and Audrey Fontenot and husband, Harold, of Eunice, La. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Joshua Miller of Baton Rouge, La. and Amanda Miller of Church Point, La.; 3 step-grandchildren, Heather Wallace of Sunset, La.; Brandon Arceneaux and Emily Arceneaux both of Grand Prairie, La. and 4 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Linest and Esther Richard Doucet and her brother, J.C. Doucet.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will re-open at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 until service time. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2009.
