Calvin Ardoin, age 75, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025, at his residence in Port Allen, LA. He was born on December 2, 1949, in New Roads, LA. Calvin was a cherished member of the community and will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Funeral services for Calvin Ardoin will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, in the Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Krotz Springs, LA. Rev. Terry Speights will officiate the services with Military honors to follow.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home, 239 8th Avenue, Krotz Springs, LA 70750.
He was a U. S. Army Veteran who proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. Throughout his career as a carpenter, Calvin demonstrated an unwavering commitment to his craft, becoming a respected member of the Carpenter's Union Local 1098. He enjoyed a variety of hobbies that brought him happiness. He had a deep passion for hunting and fishing, often sharing stories from his adventures with family and friends. Gambling also provided him with excitement and entertainment, but mostly, he treasured his time spent with his grandchildren.
Calvin is survived by his wife, Brenda Ardoin; his sons, Calvin Ardoin and Ulyn Ardoin; his step-son, Bryan Roche; his adoptive son, Gavin Ardoin; his daughter, Ashley Ardoin; and his step-daughters, Angela Dunn and Jessica LeTeff; his adoptive daughter, Jaden Ardoin; his brothers, Joseph "T-Boy" Ardoin and his wife, Janice; Bradford Ardoin and his wife, Monica; Charles Ardoin and his wife, Barbara; and Michael Ardoin; and his sisters, Sheryl LeBlanc and Elizabeth “Liz” Barker and companion, Mike Munro.
Calvin's legacy will continue through his adored grandchildren: Lil Calvin, Michal, Alexis, Cadence, Tyler, Aiden, Owen, Cash, Damon, Brodie, Kensie, Karsyn, Shellie, and Madison. He also took great pride in his great-grandchildren, Teagan, Nyla, Krew, Juliette, Aldon and Adalyn.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph "Toto" Ardoin and Illa Mae Ardoin; his brothers, Ulyn Ardoin, Edwin Ardoin, Delbert Ardoin, Dewayne Ardoin, and Chad Ardoin; and his sisters, Sheila Crouch and Connie Sue Ardoin; and his late wife and mother of three of his children, Lorena Jean Howard.
The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to Tiffani Mistretta with Comfort Care Hospice for the compassionate care provided during his final days.
Calvin Ardoin's spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched, serving as a reminder of the love and laughter he shared throughout his life.
