Carol Mancil

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018 for Carol Daire Mancil in the Skip Montet Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home. Deacon Dwayne Joubert will officiate the service. Rite of Committal will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Prairie Ronde.

Carol Daire Mancil, age 63 and a resident of Grand Prairie, passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.

Carol loved dancing, fishing and listening to music. She was a caretaker for many. Carol enjoyed the joys of life, as well as, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her pets. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her mother, Bernita "Bonnie" Dupre Parks of Opelousas; sons, James G. Mancil of Carencro; and Jonathan R. Mancil of Sunset; brother, Joseph Roman Daire, Jr. and his wife, Vickie of Opelousas; sisters, Kendra Daire Emmons and her husband, Bill of Clearwater; and Becky Daire Doucet of Church Point; and grandchildren, Cam'ryn Panks, Landon Mancil, Kolten Mancil and Talan Mancil.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Roman Daire, Sr.; sisters, Deborah "Debbie" Daire Fontenot and Charlotte Daire Kennedy; brother, Jimmy Daire; maternal grandparents, Talbort Dupre and Lelma Ardoin Dupre; and paternal grandparents, Magnus Daire and Ozet Vidrine Daire.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. on Friday evening. Visitation will continue on Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m.
