Plaisance-A graveside service for Catherine Holland Spiers, age 56, will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Andrew Cemetery in Plaisance, La.

Mrs. Spiers, a resident of Opelousas, La., died on Sunday, June 21, 2009, at her residence.

Mrs. Spiers is survived by her husband, Richard Oden Spiers, of Opelousas, La.; her daughter, Shawn Marie Menoud and husband, Joe, of Opelousas, La. She is also survived by three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Spiers is preceded in death by her parents, Albert George Holland and Ellender Oats Holland; her son, Michael Shane Keen and her sister, Cynthia Marie Lemoine.
