Cheryl Lynn Darby Dupont, born on January 27, 1958, passed away peacefully at her residence on July 4, 2025. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend, whose warmth and laughter touched the hearts of many.

Cheryl was a dedicated homemaker, taking great joy in her family and home. She enjoyed sunny days spent gardening and had a passion for music that filled her home with joy. Cheryl was known for her infectious laughter and her ability to make others laugh, often engaging in long telephone conversations with family and friends that became cherished moments in their lives.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Miller and her husband, Carl; her sisters, Jeanette Johnson and Judy Darby; her niece, Christy Boudreaux; her nephews, Dustin Ellis, Dylan Ellis, Richie Lacombe and his wife, Jessie, and David Lacombe; her uncle, Felix Darby and his wife, Marion, and her special friend of 40 years, Janice Allen; and a host of cherished in-laws. Cheryl is also survived by her adored fur baby grand cats, Scar, Ava, and Roux, who brought her comfort and companionship.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Wilbert Dupont; her parents, Earl J. Darby and Nelma Joubert; her son, Shawn Boudreaux; her brother, Earl Darby, Jr.; her sister, Betty Joe Darby Ellis; her paternal grandparents, Felix and Selma Darby; her maternal grandparents, Leon and Mayraunt Joubert; her mother-in-law, Mary Dupont, and her son-in-law, Jamie Splane.

Cheryl Lynn Dupont's legacy of love, laughter, and the joy she shared with everyone around her will remain etched in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by all who had the privilege of calling her family and friend.
