Constance "Connie" Lalonde

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Constance "Connie" Ruffino Lalonde at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 09, 2020, at Immaculate Conception Church.  Rite of Committal will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Rev. Fr. Matthew Higginbotham will celebrate the Mass.

Ms. Connie, age 89, passed away on Monday, December 07, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Connie enjoyed many aspects in life such as gardening. Some would even say she had a green thumb with anything she touched. She loved cooking for her family, but most of all Connie's greatest accomplishment in life were her family and watching them grow and always having a house full being surrounded with their love. Connie was also a member of the Alter Society in Washington Louisiana for many years. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Lalonde and his wife, Linda of Opelousas, La., and Charles Lalonde and his wife, Deionne of Opelousas, La.  Her daughters, Mary Lalonde Lanclos and her significant other, Trent Credeur of Opelousas, La., Karen Lalonde Luckett and husband, Richard of Grand Isle, La., Janet Burleson and husband, Roger of Opelousas, La., Laurie Williams and husband, Kevin of Krotz Springs, La., Leah Kyle and husband, Jamey of Opelousas, La. and Missy Chachere and husband, Steven of Opelousas, La.  She is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren, fifty-five great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonce (Whitey) Lalonde Jr., her parents, Charles and Ethel Ruffino, her sisters, Beverly Ruffino Crimm, Joan Ruffino Helmey, Charlene Ruffino Whaley and her brother, Charles Ruffino.

Pallbearers will include Kenneth Lalonde, Charles Lalonde, Dale Burleson, Matthew Chachere, Lane Latiolais, Steven Chachere, Brad Tribe, and Blaine Joubert.

Honorary Pallbearers will Include Jason P. Lanclos, and Jamey Kyle

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 09, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas.  A Rosary will be prayed at 2:30 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Washington, La. Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church in Washington, La. at 3:00 p.m.
