Opelousas - Funeral services for David Lee Taylor, Jr. will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2022, in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas, La.  Pastor Kevin Lalonde of Our Savior’s Church will conduct the funeral services.  Burial will be held at a later date.

Visitation will be held in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Saturday, November 26, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 3:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Nick Taylor, Lucas Goodwin, Ryan Fisher, Brandon Robin, Brandon Taylor and Cody Taylor and honorary pallbearers will be Jace Goodwin, Tony Taylor, Chris Doucet, Spencer Gremillion and Nathan Guillory.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Lee Taylor, Jr., age 26, of Spokane, Washington, on Thursday, November 17, 2022.

David was a very artistic and talented tattoo artist.  He loved drawing and woodworking.  David enjoyed being outdoors, surfing and skateboarding. Above all, David loved his family dearly. He was a great conversationalist and was also very funny and loved to make people laugh. He had a heart of gold, loved deeply and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his mother, Rachael Gremillion Doucet and husband, Chris of Opelousas, La.; his father, David Lee Taylor, Sr. of Opelousas, La.; his sisters, Paige Taylor Goodwin and husband, Lucas, of Opelousas, La., Kennedi Taylor of Opelousas, La. and Chelsea Stelly Oncale of Port Barre, La.; his brothers, Nicholas Taylor of Opelousas, La., and Spencer Gremillion of Youngsville, La.; his maternal grandfather, Larry Gremillion of Opelousas, La.; his paternal grandfathers, John E. Reed of Leonville, La. and L.J. Taylor of Lafayette, La.  He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Everleigh Goodwin, Cayleigh Bertrand, Zuri Oncale, Jace Goodwin, Weston and Graham Gremillion and Aiden and Christian Oncale.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Gina Boagni of Opelousas, La.; his paternal grandmother, Helen Stelly Reed of Leonville, La.; his great-grandparents, Paul and Martha Boagni of Opelousas, La., Bubba and Patricia Gremillion of Opelousas, La., Felix and Corine Stelly of Leonville, La. and Leed Taylor Sr. and Irene Arnaud Taylor of Arnaudville, La.
