Funeral services for Dewey Briant Lacassin will be held on Friday, September 29th, 2006 at Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Krotz Springs at 11:00AM. The Rev. James Nguyen will conduct the services. Interment will be at the Baptist Cemetery in Melville.

Mr. Lacassin, 44, died Tuesday, September 26th, 2006 at Opelousas General Health System. He was a carpenter.

He is survived by 1 son; Joshua Briant Lacassin of New River Air Station in Jacksonville N.C. His father and step-mother; John E. Lacassin and Aileen Lacassin of Krotz Springs, 2 brothers; Richard Van Lacassin Sr and his wife Brenda of Krotz Sprngs and John Edward Lacassin Jr. of Prairieville, 2 step-sisters; Pamela Templet of Prairieville and Sheila Fagane of Krotz Springs and his Maternal Grandmother; Louisiana Lou Goudeau of Melville. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Deanna Lou Goudeau.

The family has requested that visitation will be held on Thursday, September 28th, 2006 in the Funeral Home in Krotz Springs, from 4:00PM to 10:00PM and will continue on Friday from 8:00AM till time of service. A rosary will be recited at 6:30PM Thursday.
