Dorothy Vatter

Funeral services for Dorothy Dot Vatter will be Tuesday August 28, 2007 at 10:00am in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel. The interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park. Rev. Steve Horn will officiate the services.

Mrs. Vatter, age 77 a resident of Lafayette and former resident of Opelousas died Sunday August 26, 2007 at 1:40am in Lafayette General Medical Center. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lafayette.

Survivors include her son; James Vatter of Lafayette, sisters; Joy Cope and husband Gene of Lafayette and Faye Johnson and husband Richard of Lafayette, niece; Cindy Bridges of Meridian, MS., nephews; Mike Cope of Lafayette, Richy Johnson of Dry Prong and Ryan Johnson of Lafayette and 7 great nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents; James Lee Edwards, Jr. and Bertha Mae Tuneberg Edwards, husband; Paul Vatter and a brother; James Lee Edwards, III.

Visitation will be Monday from 3:00pm until 9:00pm and Tuesday from 8:00am until time of services.
