Eddie Glenn Johnson, age 59, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away on June 15, 2025, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. He was born on March 8, 1966, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and spent his life dedicated to his family.

Funeral Services for Eddie Johnson will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Krotz Springs. Fr. Clint Trahan will officiate the service.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs.

Eddie was a hardworking gentleman known for his humor and his remarkable versatility. He was a true "jack of all trades," and cherished his time spent outdoors. An avid nature lover, Eddie enjoyed hunting and fishing, finding great joy in the tranquility of the great outdoors. His love for adventure extended to riding his cherished Harley Davidson motorcycle and loved traveling across the United States with his wife. He was also an enthusiastic woodworker, spending many hours on projects that reflected his creativity and craftsmanship. Eddie was known for his warm heart and willingness to help those in need, always extending a hand to friends and family alike. He created many treasured memories, particularly during times spent cooking at his camp for friends and family.

His love for his family was profound. Eddie was a devoted husband to his wife of 38 years, Onnia Metrejean Johnson, of Krotz Springs, Louisiana. He also survived by his son, Nicholas Johnson and his wife, Hillary of Greenwood, Arkansas; his daughters, Hannah Johnson of Lake Charles; and Summer Johnson of Lafayette;as well as his four cherished grandchildren, Ava Guilbeau, Ronan Johnson, Ramsee Johnson, and Rylee Johnson. He is also survived by his mother, Glenda Crooks Johnson of Krotz Springs; along with his mother-in-law, Jean Smith Metrejean and her spouse, Larry Guillory of Port Barre. He also leaves behind his sister, Angie Marks and her husband Glen of Arnaudville; his brothers-in-law, Herman Metrejean and his wife Terry of Opelousas; Kirby Metrejean and his wife, Brenda of Opelousas; Paul K. Metrejean, Jr. of Melville; Raymond Metrejean and his fiancé, Sherry Steno of Krotz Springs; and Kenny Guillory of Port Barre; and his sisters-in-law, Paula Kimble and her husband, Darrell of Krotz Springs; Leah Brown and her husband, Warren of Plaisance; Doche' Arnaud and her husband, Johnny of Sunset; and Brandy St. Romain and her husband, Scott of Fordoche; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and extended family members, will forever cherish his memory.

Eddie was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Lawrence Johnson; his paternal grandparents, Avery Johnson and Ann Smith Johnson; his maternal grandparents, Dewey Crooks and Lena Clark Crooks; his father-in-law, Paul K. Metrejean; his nephew, Andy Halphen; his sister-in-law, Lynette Metrejean Guillory; and his beloved dog, Paco.

The legacy of Eddie Glenn Johnson will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, in the stories shared around family gatherings, and in the smiles of his grandchildren, who will carry forward the values he instilled in them. He will be dearly missed but will forever remain a guiding light in the lives he touched.
