Ferdie Trouille

Opelousas - Funeral services for Ferdie Joseph Trouille will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, in the Skip Montet Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas. The Reverend Monsignor Keith J. DeRouen will conduct the service. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington, LA.

Mr. Trouille, age 90, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018, at Lake Charles Memorial Health System.

Ferdie served his country proudly during WWII in the United States Navy. He loved being outdoors, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and friends. Ferdie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his son, Michael Trouille and wife, Lou Ann, of Pitsburg, TX; his daughter, Charlene Racca and husband, Troy, of Westlake, LA and his sister, Mervileen Guidroz of Opelousas, LA. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his companion, Alice Carte; his parents, Ferdie Trouille and Wilda Soileau Trouille; his brothers, Alphan "Fan" Trouille and Eugene "Gene" Trouille and the mother of his children, Joyce Trouille.

Visitation will be held in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral home will reopen on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM. A rosary will be prayed on Tuesday, May 15, 2016, at 6:30 PM by Deacon Jerome Collins.
