Francis Gautreaux

Funeral services for Francis J. Cook Gautreaux will be held Saturday August 18, 2007 at 11:00am in the St. Landry Catholic Church. Interment will be in the St. Landry Catholic Mausoleum. Monsignor Robert Romero will conduct the services.

Mr. Gautreaux, age 87, a resident of Opelousas died Thursday August 16, 2007 at his residence.

Mr. Gautreaux was a retired machinist from Cary Iron Works. He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy having served with the Sea Bees.

Survivors include his daughters; Gail Gautreaux Gary of Lafayette and Carmen Gautreaux Schultz and husband Gregory Dutch Schultz of Brandon, FL., daughter in law; Greta Clements Gautreaux of Anacoco and 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife; Elsie Sonnier Gautreaux, parents; Fernand and Eugenia Gautreaux, son Allison Al Gautreaux, granddaughter; Courtney Elsie Gary, 4 brothers and 5 sisters.

Visitation will be Friday from 6:00pm until 9:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7:00pm on Friday.
