Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM for George H. Parker, Jr. on Saturday, January 19, 2019, in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Parlor in Opelousas. Father Nick Dupre will conduct the service. Burial will be held in Myrtle Grove Cemetery in Opelousas.

George H. Parker, Jr., age 98, beloved Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather was called to his eternal resting place on Jan 8, 2019.

He entered this world on November 19, 1920 and was born to George Parker, Sr. and Rose Estes Parker. George served his country proudly in the United States Navy.

He is survived by his son, Morgan Parker; his son, John Parker, his grandchildren Alana and Alex; great-grandchildren, Clare and James; step-children, Maggie Gilley, Stephanie Hisle and Chuck Veillon, 14 Grandchildren: Dawn, Tony, Tucker, Tanner, Ron, Ashlee, Madison, Tyler, Ian, Ray, KC, Jason, Nathan, Josh; great-grandchildren, Blake, Dustin, Parker, Adeline, Scarlett, Brayden and Corban.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas. The funeral home will reopen on Saturday, January 19, 2019, from 8:00 AM until time of service.
