Gwendolyn "Gwen" Jeanette Arnold

Gwendolyn “Gwen” Arnold passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026, at the Calcutta House in Lafayette, Louisiana at the age of 65. She was born on September 18, 1960, in Lafayette, La.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Gwen Arnold on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church at 1:00 pm. Father Duhon will celebrate the Mass. Burial will be held at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm. A Rosary will be recited at 12:30 pm.

Gwen is survived by her mother, Mitzie Arceneaux; her sister, Carrie Robichaux and her nieces, Myah Robichaux and Mia Robichaux. She is also survived by David Arceneaux (Sarah) and her uncle, Jeames "Jim" Arnold (Helen), along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom loved her dearly.

Gwen had many interests that brought her joy to her life. She found pleasure in watching soap operas, making crafts, doing puzzles, and she loved all things Disney.

Gwen was a member of the Catholic Daughter's Court #2214, Assumption of Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Mire, Louisiana and the Ladie’s Altar Society.

She was preceded in death by Paul “Dickie” Arceneaux, Sid Arnold, Monteil Arnold, and Shelia Duvic.

Gwen’s loving memory, her infectious smile that everyone adored and the impact she made on those around her will forever be remembered and will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
