Jackline Bordelon

Opelousas - Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 29, 2018 for Jackline "Jackie" Bordelon at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. The Reverend Father Gregory Simien will officiate the Mass. Rite of Committal will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Jackline "Jackie" Bordelon, age 78 and a resident of Opelousas, passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at her residence.

Jackie was a member of the Elks Auxillary. She was a beautician by trade and she also worked at the St. Landry Clinic. Jackie will be missed by all for her feisty spirit and love of good times with family and friends. She loved crocheting, camping, cooking, and especially enjoyed decorating for the holidays. Jackie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband who absolutely adored her and so lovingly cared for her, especially in the last months of her illness, Donald E. Bordelon; sons, Richard A. Bordelon (Monica), Donnie Bordelon, Jr. and Brent Bordelon (Lee Ann); daughters, Chantel Manuel and Kim LaJack (Sonny); brother, Ronald Gene David; sister, Carmelita Formby; 9 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, A. Hypolite David and Maggie Rose David; granddaughter, Gabrielle LaJack; and grandson, Silas Manuel.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 28, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday Evening. Visitation will continue on Monday, October 29, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.

Pallbearers will be Richard Bordelon, Donnie Bordelon, Brent Bordelon, Christopher Bordelon, Logan LaJack and Sonny LaJack.
