Jacqueline Cary

Opelousas - Visitation and Funeral Service for Jacqueline "Jackie" Cary will be held on Friday, August 25, 2017. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary being prayed at 6:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 6:30 p.m. Brother Louis Charrier will officiate the service.

Mrs. Cary, age 79, a resident of Opelousas, LA, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Opelousas General Health System.

Jackie was known for her cooking and loved preparing meals for her family and friends. Most of all she loved being a mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. Jackie will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by sons, Clark Bridges and wife, Nancy; Kurt Bridges; John Bridges and wife, Jennifer; Blair Bridges and wife, Cheryl and her daughter, Vallie LeBlanc and husband, Phillip. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Andrew LeBlanc and fiance', Denay; Jenna LeBlanc Smith and husband Blake; Katie Sophis and husband, Paul; Christy Janise and husband, Robert; Rusty Bernard and wife, Jeanie; Amanda Bernard; and great-grandchildren, Katlyn, Kylie, Aiden, Harper, Hayes, Jaheem, Serenity, Alen, Julie, Tucker, Adrian, Xavier, Madison, Sophie, Morgan and Rustin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Easton Cary and Vallie Clark Cary; her sister, Julia Childs and her grandson, Wesley LeBlanc.
