James Perroux

Funeral services for James Drew Perroux, age 48, will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Krotz Springs. Father Mark Ledoux will conduct the services.

Mr. Perroux, a resident of Krotz Springs, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2009 at the St. Landry Extended Care Hospital in Opelousas.

He attended schools in Krotz Springs, Louisiana; Citronelle, Alabama; Deridder, Louisiana; Valliant, Oklahoma; Texarkana, Texas; Friendswood, Texas; Mobile, Alabama and Tampa, Florida. He had an accident in 1988 that left him paralyzed as a quadriplegic, but this did not slow him down. He led a full life and enjoyed every minute of it. He was strong minded, strong willed, a definitely a fighter and a 24 K. Quad.

He is survived by his parents, Claude and Dorothy Breaux Perroux of Krotz Springs, La.; his step-daughter, Jennifer Byrne of Houston, Texas; his two brothers, Kent Matthew Perroux of Orlando, Florida and Brett Louis Perroux of Houston, Texas.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 10, 2009. A rosary will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at 6:15 p.m.

Pallbearers will be his loved ones.
