James Richard

Funeral services for James Matoo Richard will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 a 2:00 p.m. in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel with the interment in the Holy Sepulcher Cemetery. The Rev. Angelo Cremaldi will conduct the services.

Mr. Richard, age 79, a resident of Opelousas, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2009 at Senior Village Nursing Home. He was a wrecker driver for L.J. Doucets Wrecker Services.

He is survived by his brothers; Albert Richard of Opelousas and Roland Richard and his wife Loretta also of Opelousas, his sisters; Nola Mouille of Denham Springs and Nell Jordan of Houston Texas. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his brothers; Charlie Richard and Gervis Richard, sisters; Esther Fitgerald, Hazel Ortego, Rita Allain and Gladys Soileau, his parents; Finley Richard and Nina Roy Richard.

The family has requested that visitation be observed on Wednesday February 9, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday.
