Leonville – Funeral services for Jammie Lee Breaux will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2022, in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas.  Deacon Jerome Collins will conduct the funeral.  Burial will follow at the St. Leo Catholic Church Mausoleum in Leonville, La.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas.  A Rosary will be prayed at 1:30 p.m.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Jammie Lee Breaux, age 68, on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Opelousas General Health System.

Mr. Breaux was a veteran and served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corp. He was a proud member of the American Legion in Sunset, La.  He worked as a mechanic for over 40 years.  He was employed at Mack’s Auto Shop as a mechanic for over 20 years.  He enjoyed being outdoors, camping and model cars.  Most of all he loved being with his friends and family.  Jammie will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Betty Provost, of Opelousas, La.; his son, Blaine Breaux; his daughter, Victoria Breaux, of Texas and his sister, Maxine Breaux of Breaux Bridge, La.  He is also survived by his grandson, Seth Breaux; his great-granddaughter, Karoline-Rose Breaux; his nieces and nephew, Heather Parke, Danielle Hartley, Holly Comeaux and Jason Breaux; his great-nieces and great-nephew, Autumn Parke, Amara Parke, Lainey Comeaux and Collin Comeaux and his special dog, Peppy.

He was preceded in death by parents, Curley Joseph Breaux and Parral Jean Doucet Breaux; his brother, Rickey Joseph Breaux; his sister, Darlene Marie Breaux and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Pallbearers will be Danielle Hartley, Grant Schexneider, Mark Meullion, Dale Robin, Chris Schexneider and Seth Breaux.  Honorary pallbearer will be Matthew Provost.
