Janel Duplechin

Opelousas - Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, July 2, 2018 for Janel Bourque Duplechin in the Skip Montet Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home. Deacon Sammy Diesi will officiate the service. Rite of Committal will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home on Monday, July 2, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. A Rosary will be prayed at 10:00 a.m. by Deacon Sammy Diesi.

Mrs. Duplechin, age 75, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018 at her residence.

Janel was a bank teller for many years at American Bank, Washington State Bank and St. Landry Bank. She then went to work as a secretary at the Louisiana Yambilee Association and the St. Landry Parish School Board. Janel enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her cousins and friends. She also loved doing crafts and ceramics with her elderly friends. Janel will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ernest Duplechin; and her parents, Elsie Doucet Bourque and Darius Bourque.
