Opelousas - Funeral Services for J.B. Cormier will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 in the Lafond-Ardoin Chapel in Opelousas. Rev. Austin Leger will officiate the services. Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

J.B. Cormier, age 93 and a resident of Church Point, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2017.

He is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph P. Cormier, Sr. and Bernadette F. Cormier; brothers, Oscar Cormier, Luis Cormier, Ewell Cormier, Lloyd Cormier, Alton Cormier, Elvin Cormier, Joseph Cormier, Jr., Merrick Cormier and Enos Cormier; and sisters, Mabel Cormier, Elize Fontenot, Rita Devalcourt and Hazel Cormier.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas. A Rosary will be prayed at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be Robbie DeVillier, Hunter DeVillier, Landon DeVillier and Nathan Cormier.
