A Memorial Service for Joseph Allen “Bubba” Harrington, Jr. will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025, in the First Baptist Church, 505 2nd Street, Melville, LA, 71353. Bro Bob Fruen will officiate the services.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025, in the First Baptist Church of Melville, LA.
Bubba worked in the construction business, specializing in metal building work and as a boilermaker. Bubba possessed a creative spirit; he enjoyed fishing, playing video games, and enjoyed drawing in pencil.
Bubba is survived by his mother, Jessica Ann Baker, and her husband, William "Billy" Torres, of Eunice, Louisiana; his maternal grandmother, Stephani Roberts, of Opelousas, Louisiana; his paternal grandmother, Cynthia "Cindy" Harrington, and her husband, Jerry "Gerald" Williams, of Melville, Louisiana; and his paternal grandfather, John "Jr." Harrington, Jr., of Mississippi. Bubba also leaves behind his sisters, Alayna Torres of Opelousas, Louisiana, and Miranda Harrington of Krotz Springs, Louisiana; his aunt and Godmother, known as “Nanny”, Neica Cormier, and her husband, Joseph “Brent” Cormier of Arnaudville, Louisiana; and his uncles, Jacob Firmin of Palmetto, Louisiana, and Dakota Roberts of Eunice, Louisiana. His family ties extended further with cherished cousins, including Kayleah Miller and her husband, Adam, and their children, Aiden, Brynlee, and Karson Miller, of Palmetto, Louisiana; Adam Firmin, II, of Arnaudville, Louisiana; Wyatt Firmin of Palmetto, Louisiana; Gunner Cormier of Arnaudville, Louisiana; and Kendalyn Firmin of Arnaudville, Louisiana. He was a proud godparent to Easton Kilcrease of Melville, Louisiana.
Bubba was preceded in death by his father, Joseph "Joey" Harrington, Sr.; his brother, Ayden LeBouve; his paternal great-grandparents, Margaret "Gaye" Moreau Rodriguez and her husband, Arthur "Joe" Joseph Rodriguez; and John Harrington, Sr. and his wife, Corene Franks Harrington; and his great-aunt, Tammy Rodriguez.
As we remember Joseph "Bubba" Harrington, Jr., we celebrate a life that, although brief, left an indelible mark on those who were fortunate enough to know him.
