Joseph "J.C." Dupre

Grand Prairie – Funeral services for Joseph "J.C." Clarence Dupre will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church in Grand Prairie, La. Deacon Sammy Deisi will conduct the service.  Burial will follow at St. Peter Catholic Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church on Saturday, September 3, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. A Rosary will be recited at 11:30 a.m.

It is with deep sorrow we regretfully announce the passing of Joseph Clarence (J.C.) Dupre on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at the age of 79.

J.C. enjoyed being outdoors tending to his vegetable garden and riding on his tractor.  He also loved spending time outdoors in the woods hunting or on the water fishing.  J.C.’s favorite pastime was frying fish while spending time with family and friends. Being a man dedicated to his faith, he was a past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Washington, La.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

J.C. will forever be remembered and missed by his wife of 60 years, Kathleen Lafleur Dupre; his son, Joseph Kevin Dupre of Huntsville, Alabama and his daughter, Melissa Dupre Sibille (Clint) of Orange Beach, Alabama.  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jordan Dupre of Pensacola, Florida, Hannah Dupre Szatkowski (Matt) of Pensacola, Florida, Lauren Sibille of Atlanta, Georgia, Alayna Sibille of Eugene, Oregon and Seth Sibille of Tallahassee, Florida and two great-grandchildren, Ben Szatkowski and Jackson Szatkowski.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Mary Guillory Dupre and his sister, Sandra Dupre Fuselier.

Pallbearers will be Jordan Dupre, Seth Sibille, Danny Lafleur, Darin Lafleur, Floyd Bellard and Wayne Thibodeaux.
