Lonna Amy

Funeral services for Lonna Kay Amy will be held Saturday January 3, 2009 at 1:00pm in the First Baptist Church in Opelousas. The interment will be in the Bellevue Memorial Park. Bro. Perry Hubbs will officiate the services.

Mrs. Amy, age 65 a resident of Opelousas died Wednesday December 31, 2008 at Lafayette General Medical Center.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Opelousas and was also retired from the St. Landry Parish School System after 30 plus years of teaching.

Survivors include her husband; Douglas Amy of Opelousas, father; Elmer Lester of Wichita Falls, TX., sons; Mark D. Amy and wife Annette of Opelousas, Brett R. Amy and wife Jody of Houston, TX., and Jean Paul Amy of Opelousas.

Preceded in death by her mother; Dorthea Ruby Bruton Lester.

Visitation will be Friday January 2, 2009 from 2:00pm until 10:00pm and Saturday from 9:00am until time of services.

Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas is in charge of the arrangements.
