Lora Mae Dupre

Krotz Springs - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 for Lora Mae Dupre at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Krotz Springs. Father Michael DeBlanc will officiate the services. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church Cemetery.

Lora, age 77, a longtime resident of Krotz Springs, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette, LA.

Lora enjoyed sewing and cooking for her family.  She was most proud of the hats that she crocheted for the patients at St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.  Lora was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, Dale Ellis and wife, Kathy of Krotz Springs, LA; her daughters, Sharon Blanchard of Port Allen, LA, Terry Mason and husband, Oscar of Krotz Springs, LA, Vicky Lillis and husband, T.J. of Maringouin, LA and her sister, Brenda Bourque of Scott, LA.  She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Dupre; her son, J.B. Ellis, Jr.; her brothers, Ellis Savoie, Jr., Jimbo Savoie; her sisters, Lillian Bennet, Serita Savoie and her grandson, John Michael "Duke" Young.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM in the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Krotz Springs, LA.  A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM on Tuesday evening. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. until 1:30 PM.

Pallbearers will be Christ Young, Bob Braud, Kevin Lillis, Clark Saucier, Trey Mason and Bryan Distoell.  Honorary pallbearers will be Lisa Moran and Tracy "Duckie" Bihm.
