Opelousas – Funeral services for Mary Aline Cormier will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2022, in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas.  Pastor Bart Leger will conduct the funeral service.  Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022, in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Aline Cormier, on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at her residence in La Marque, Texas.

Mary was the best mom ever.  She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  Her faith was very important to her.  She loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren.  Mary was a wonderful cook and loving baking and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughters, Colleen Pearson and huband Donald Pearson, Jr., Mary Ellen Courvelle and Christine Credeur; her brother, David Pitre and her sister, Linda Bellard and husband, Donald Bellard.  She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, Donald Pearson, III, Cameron Courvelle, Pyper Pearson, Kylie Alonzo, Juliana Credeur, Mason Credeur, Hayden Credeur, Raven Credeur and her great-grandson, Jaxxon Credeur.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John R.A. Pitre and Marie LeJeune Pitre; her spouses, Emery Courvelle and James Cormier and her sister-in-law, Brenda Pitre.
