Mary was known for her warm-hearted spirit and quiet strength. Mary was a proud parishioner of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville. Mary filled her time with cherished pastimes. She was a true sports enthusiast, and she rarely missed a chance to cheer for the New Orleans Saints or LSU Football. At home, Mary found relaxation and entertainment in the simple pleasures of television. She especially enjoyed watching the Lifetime Movie Network and her favorite game shows. Mary enjoyed the quiet moments she spent working in her crossword puzzle books. Mary also enjoyed fishing, tent camping, while being surrounded by nature’s beauty. Her creative talents also shone through in her love for sewing. She enjoyed her visits to local casinos, which she cherished.

She is survived by her sons, Don L. Savoy (Heather) and Chad Savoy (Desiree); her daughters, Paula M. Savoy (Tom) and Denise Lafleur (Bryan); her brother, Roland Bordelon (Kay) and her sister, Brenda Burdick (Doug). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Chris Bell (Amy), Samantha Robbins (Conner), Dorothy Dublo (Shane), Nicholas Lafleur, Lucas Savoy and Sean Lafleur and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo B. “Tug” Savoy; her parents, Horace “Poncho” Bordelon and Emily Pitre Bordelon; her granddaughter, Candace Bell; and her sisters, Winnie Bordelon and Anna Bordelon Guidroz.

Mary’s life is lovingly remembered by all who knew her. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family, friends, her faith community, and all whose lives she touched.
