Mary "Earleen" Lafleur

Grand Prairie - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mary Earleen Lafleur at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, February 7, 2022, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Grand Prairie, La.  Reverend Fr. Michael DeBlanc will celebrate the Mass.  Rite of Committal will be held in the St. Peter's Catholic Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Monday, February 7, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.  A rosary will be prayed at 1:30 p.m. by Deacon Dwayne Joubert in the funeral home.

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mrs. Mary Earleen Lafleur, age 82, on Friday, February 4, 2022, at Opelousas General Health System.

Earleen was a parishioner and active member of St. Peter's Catholic Church.  She was a member of the Ladies' Alter Society, the Come Lord Jesus group and was the bookkeeper for St. Peter's Church.  She also worked at American Security Bank and Hancock Bank for 44 years and retired as Senior Vice President.  She loved spending time with her family, friends and especially her grandchildren.  Earleen will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, Phillip "Jeremy" Lafleur and fiancé, Sarah Thibodeaux of Mandeville, La. and his daughter, Melissa "Millie" Lafleur Fontenot and husband, Don, of Grand Prairie, La.  She is also survived by four grandchildren, Dustin Fontenot of Washington, La., Parker and Gabrielle "Gabbie" Lafleur of Mandeville, La. and Kristiana Lafleur of New Orleans, La.  She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Kaitlynn Fontenot of Grand Prairie, La. and Sophia Fontenot of Washington, La.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Arlen Lafleur; her parents, Paul Roberie and Olita Foret Roberie and her sister, Wanda Brignac.

Pallbearers will be Parker Lafleur, Rusty Brignac, Dustin Fontenot, Brian Fontenot, Mickey Duos and Daniel Fruge'.
