Mia Crappell

Funeral services for Mia Ruth Crappell will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 6, 2019, in the Skip Montet Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas. Reverend Nicholas Dupre will conduct the service. A Rosary will be prayed at 1:30 PM Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2019, from 9:00 AM until time of service at 2:00 PM.

Ms. Crappell, age 53, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2019.

Mia was a graduate of Abbeville High School and was employed by the United States Postal Service. Mia loved traveling and spending time with her sisters and was always the life of the party. She loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart. Mia will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her mother, Ruth Toups Crappell; her daughters, Aime Cormier and husband, Lance; Mandy Darbonne; Charly Quinteros and husband, Wilver; her sisters, Jennifer C. Desonier; Lydia C. Bordelon and husband, Bryan; Stacy C. Beraud and Haroldlyn C. Comeaux and husband, Marty and her grandchildren, Lance L.J. Cormier, Lilly Cormier, Ryder Quinteros and another grandchild on the way. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and her godchildren, Amelia Desonier and Alex Beraud.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harold James Crappell and her brothers-in-law, Chris Beraud and Philip Desonier.

Pallbearers will be Lance Cormier, Wilver Quinteros, Alex Beraud, Eric Beraud, Brett Faulk and Bryan Bordelon. Honorary pallbearers will be Rufus Darbonne, Marty Comeaux and Chad Beraud.
