Pamela "Pam" Pereira

August 7, 1956 — April 4, 2020

Krotz Springs-Pamela “Pam” Muse Pereira, 63, beloved Wife, Mother, and Grammy, was called to her eternal resting place on April 4, 2020. She entered this world on August 7, 1956, in Church Point, born to Kenneth and Mary "Helen" Muse. Pam grew up in Krotz Springs and was a longtime resident of Garyville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Kenneth “Ray” Muse, and many other family members who welcome her with open arms.

Pam was a kind and loving woman with a nurturing and good-spirited smile. She dedicated her life to making those she loved happy, whether through her sweet cakes that filled our hearts with joy or her crocheted blankets that continue to keep us warm at night. At the same time, Pam was a determined fighter, whose cheerful nature always shined through no matter what. She battled cancer for nearly 17 years of her life, and we will forever remember her as an inspiration.

Survivors, whom she loved dearly, include her husband of almost 37 years, Mark Pereira; daughter, Mallory Pereira; sons, Joel Pereira and Christopher Pereira and wife Nancilyn; grandchildren, Madison Boudreaux and Christopher Pereira Jr.; siblings, Lee Muse and wife Margaret, Terry Muse and wife Leah, Suzette Williams, Annette Anguiano and husband Richard, and Natalie Hatteberg and husband Brady; sister-in-law, Debra Muse; nieces and nephews and many other relatives.

A private, family graveside service—due to the gathering restrictions at this time—is scheduled at St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery in Krotz Springs.

The family is inviting the public to join them by viewing and be a part of Pamela's funeral which will be on Facebook Live starting at 9:55 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2020.
