Patricia Lou Roberts

Patricia Lou Cazares Roberts, age 71, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center. Born on July 22, 1954, in Los Angeles, California, Patricia leaves behind a rich legacy of love, dedication, and warmth that touched all who had the privilege to know her.

Patricia found great pleasure in gardening, nurturing her flowers and plants – especially her cactus. She also enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, often spending her time watching classic television shows such as "The Lone Ranger" and "The Rifleman," which brought her comfort and delight.

A devoted family woman, Patricia's greatest joy came from being with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren. Her nurturing presence was a constant source of strength and happiness within her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Meagan Louviere and Sarah Dunagan of Opelousas; her stepdaughter, Amanda Roberts of Murrieta, California; and her bonus daughter, Kayla Fontenot of St. Landry. Patricia also leaves behind her former husband, Stephen Roberts of Las Cruces, New Mexico; her sister, Nancy King of St. Landry; her nephew, Jon Cazares of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and her niece, Tiesha King of Lansing, Michigan; and her six beloved grandchildren – Emily Lavergne, Savannah Stiver, Andrew Lavergne II, Aiden Stiver, Laila Louviere, and Tanner Stiver.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert Frank Cazares and Ruth Deloris Hough Cazares; her daughter, Nicole Renee Cazares; her son, Austin Leigh Stiver; her brother, James Cazares; and her two grandsons, Jaxson Stiver and Brantley Stiver.

Her life journey was a testament to her strength, kindness, and unwavering commitment to her family. Patricia Lou Cazares Roberts will be deeply missed and forever remembered with respect, gratitude, and love by all whose lives she enriched. May her gentle spirit rest in peace.
