Brent was a dedicated member of the 1098 Carpenter’s Union. He was a second-generation union carpenter, who travelled the country building scaffolds in nuclear plants and refineries, among other projects.
Beyond his professional achievements, Paul was also celebrated for his character as a family man.
He was a devoted husband to his wife, Elizabeth Deville Trouille, with whom he shared many cherished years. His passion for family life extended to his role as an exceptional father to his son, Hunter Paul Trouille (Caitlin), and a doting grandfather to his two beloved grandchildren, Sawyer and Sophie. He was a loving grandfather to his step-daughter-in-law, Yvette Bennett’s children, Alexis, Zachary, Olivia and Vivian.
Brent was also blessed to have a close-knit family, including his sisters: Jennifer Breaux (Aubrey) of New Iberia, Kathy Darbonne (Richard) of Carencro, Julie Thibodeaux (A.J.) of Pecaniere, and Lisa Manuel (Mitch) of Mamou.
In addition to his family commitments, Paul enjoyed a variety of hobbies that enriched his life. He found solace in nature through fishing and hunting, cooking meals for his loved ones, and frequently traveled to experience new places. A profound appreciation for music was evident in his enjoyment of the KBON radio station.
Brent is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Bonnie (Soileau) Trouille, his grandparents, Ferdie Sr. and Wilda Trouille, and Earlis and Effie Soileau, as well as his niece and goddaughter, Brandi Darbonne.
While he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, his legacy will live on through the lives he touched and the love he instilled in his family.
