Priscilla Broussard Carriere

June 22, 1957 — April 17, 2026

Priscilla "Pris" Broussard Carriere, a vibrant soul whose spirit touched the hearts of all who knew her, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2026, in Opelousas, Louisiana. Born on June 22, 1957, in Eunice, Louisiana, Pris lived life to the fullest with an infectious joy and a heart wide open to love.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026, at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home from 5:30pm until 8:00pm. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm by Kassi Dupre.

Pris delighted in the simple pleasures — sewing with meticulous care, cooking meals that brought warmth and comfort, and immersing herself in the joy of music and dancing. Her home was always a welcoming haven; she welcomed company with open arms and was ever ready for spontaneous adventures, especially road trips that created lasting memories with friends and family alike.

Among her many triumphs, her proudest accomplishment was her victorious battles as a multiple cancer survivor. This hard-won strength only fueled her zest for life and her determination to embrace each day with hope and gratitude.

Pris is survived by her children, Erica Bordelon Boudreaux and her husband, Lance and Lorie Carte Hutchins and her husband, Chandler; her grandchildren, Jaci Miller and her fiance, Zachary Culbreth, Ryan Miller, Kye Miller, Brodie Hutchins and Kain Hutchins; her great-grandchildren, Adalyn Culbreth and Saylor Culbreth; her brother, Leon Daly Carriere, Jr. and his wife, Shelly; her sister, Lynn Rider and her husband, Calvin; and a host of other dear family members and beloved friends.

She is preceded in death by parents, Leon Daly Carriere, Sr. and Jean Fisher Carriere; her brother, Michael Ray Broussard; her paternal grandparents, Adam and Rhene Carriere; and her maternal grandparents, Hans and Larasia Fisher.

Her presence was a gift — a blend of laughter, kindness, and unwavering love. Those who were lucky enough to know Pris remember her not only for her passions and spirit but for the genuine care she extended to everyone around her. Her legacy is one of resilience, joy, and the beautiful bonds she nurtured.

Priscilla Broussard Carriere leaves behind a world touched by her warmth and a lifetime of memories that will comfort and inspire. Though she has departed from this place, light of her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she loved so deeply.
