During his life, Randy distinguished himself as a dedicated truck driver for Cypress Propane, serving for ten years. Randy’s zest for life was evident to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Known affectionately as the “life of the party”, he loved to dance at all events and slide across the floor. He loved waking up at 2:00 a.m. to go on vacation…. for an early start. An avid outdoorsman, Randy found great happiness in RV camping, fishing, and crabbing. These experiences were magnified when shared with his beloved family, and some of his fondest memories were made alongside his wife and daughter, who were the center of his world. Randy was a man of faith and conviction. He proudly served as a 3rd Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council 3496 in Port Barre, Louisiana. His dedication to service was also expressed through his longtime involvement as a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Opelousas.

Randy is survived by his wife 39 years, Melanie Pitre Bourque, of Opelousas, LA; his daughter, Chelsea Elizabeth Bourque and fiancé, Andrew Stewart, of Denham Springs, LA; his brothers, Sidney Bourque of Port Barre, LA and Glen Bourque and wife, Beverly, of Arnaudville, LA; his sister, Carolyn Fontenot of Opelousas, LA; his step-grandchildren, Mirielle and James Stewart; his brothers-in-law, Craig Pitre and wife, Donna, of Grand Prairie, LA and Neil Pitre and wife, Candy, of Arnaudville, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson Woodrow Bourque and Lillian Darbonne Bourque; his sister, Diane “Donna Gail” Stoute and husband, Larry Stoute; his brother-in-law, J.L. “Pap” Fontenot; his sister-in-law, Cleo Ann Landry Bourque and his mother-in-law, Patsy Dupre Pitre.

Those who knew Randy will remember him for his unwavering spirit, his generous heart, and his ability to bring people together. His legacy of joy, fellowship, and love will remain cherished by all whose lives he touched. He leaves behind a wealth of memories and a profound sense of loss among family, friends, and the wider community.
